Why should I create an account?
As a new member you will be able to use our on-line ordering and delivery system, Know the status of an order, Print or save files for those going paperless, and 24/7 access to your database of completed jobs and files.
How do I know the status of my order?
The on-line database keeps you informed of whether the job is In-Progress, or Completed. When each job is completed you will receive an e-mail notification, which has a PDF attachment containing the final report.
How do I order a search?
You must sign up as a new customer to place an order. Respond to the verification e-mail in your inbox. Login and you are ready to go! You can check on status of a job, look at an old job, and search for previous orders by using the filter option. Please call if you need a search from a county not listed.
How do I open J & J Title Company documents?
Get the Adobe Reader to view your .pdf file.
J & J Title Company provides all documents in .pdf format that can be viewed by any windows document viewer and is the most common document type. If you have difficulty viewing our documents please contact JandJtitlecompany@hotmail.com.
Does J & J Title Company do my closing as well?
No, J & J Title Company do not complete closings. Georgia is an Attorney State, therefore, you will need to contact a closing attorney to set up escrow.
Can I use my own attorney and still have J & J Title Company run title?
Not a problem at all! J & J Title Company will be happy to run the Title Search and complete the Title Insurance Policy if needed. You may have your attorney’s office order the search from us or you may order the search as usual. You must call J and J Title Company before closing for specific amounts associated with recording fees, transfer tax, intangible tax, and title insurance premiums as well as instructions on how to cut checks for these fees.
How long will my search take?
Georgia Title Examiners must physically go to the Courthouse to run a residential or commercial search. Please note: Commercial Searches are rated by the hour, and therefore we cannot give specific times on how long they will take.
I need a RUSH search. How long will this take?
J & J Title Company will do their best to rush a search for you. The time frame in this case can vary from 24 - 48 hours depending upon the volume of our examiners.
